World Vision’s New York office works to influence the United Nations and other decision-makers based in the city, in order to connect policy with practice to achieve the fulfilment of the rights of the most vulnerable children of this world. New York is the global headquarters of the United Nation, including the UN Secretariat and General Assembly. It is also home to the UN Children’s Fund (UNICEF), UN Development Programme and UN Women. The office also works closely with the many non-governmental and civil-society groups located in the city. The staff of the New York office focus on areas of child protection, health, humanitarian affairs, human rights and sustainable economic development.
