Health Community Agents: Safe Mother Action Groups working on reducing Maternal and Neonatal Deaths
World Vision’s Timed and Targeted Counselling (TTC) is a family-inclusive behaviour change communication (BCC) approach targeting families of young children, especially the most vulnerable and marginalized. TTC encompasses various life-saving health practices through appropriately timed messages delivered using interactive storytelling. It applies a dialogue counselling methodology to assess current needs and practices and negotiate progressive improvements.

Invisible and Forgotten: Displaced children hungrier and at more risk than ever
The number of child refugees has more than doubled since 2005; on top of their increased vulnerability, they are facing hunger and malnourishment as well as complex situations that put their safety at risk. Many forcibly displaced children live in areas often overlooked by the international community and aid resources due to global priorities. Girls and boys are not responsible for conflicts, climate change, or responses to global pandemics, nor do they bear any responsibility for food supply shortages or hyperinflation, yet these issues continue to disproportionately affect their well-being and jeopardise their access to the education critical to helping pull them out of the vicious cycle of poverty and hunger.

It was the seventeenth day of heavy shelling, unceasing terror, severe food shortages, and darkness, when half of Iryna's and Nikolay's house burned to ashes. The ongoing attacks in Popasna, a small city in the Luhansk region of Ukraine, made them leave all their belongings and go west. As they settle in Dnipro, they are navigating the hurdles of displacement and war. World Vision's cash assistance helps them cover only part of their medicine expenses, and food supplies. As pensioners who rely on a meager pension and humanitarian aid, they find it more difficult to deal with the realities of war.
