World Vision Afghanistan Annual Report: FY22
This Annual Report provides the impact of WV Afghanistan between October 2021 and September 2022.
During this period:
• 1,369,562 people, including 669,694 children, were reached;
• Over 90% decrease in the number of food insecure families adopting negative coping strategies, including sending their children to work, in our targeted areas;
• Access to clean drinking water increased from 24.5% to 59% for targeted households;
• More than 80% of children with acute malnutrition in our targeted areas became well-nourished;
• Girls' registration in Community-Based Education (CBE) classes increased from 5,833 to over 11,162; and
• 13 child early forced marriage cases were resolved by the trained faith leaders.

World Vision Addresses Menstrual Period Stigma in Fanteakwa Area Programme
In rural communities in the Fanteakwa South and North Districts of Ghana, many girls stay out of school during their menstrual flow period to avoid the stigma associated with it. This affects their academic performance and their education in general. "I suffered humiliation from friends when I had my menses while teaching and learning were ongoing. It took me a lot of courage to return to school afterwards", said Hannah, 16.

Piped Water and System Strengthening: Government partnership for WASH services in Ethiopia
Case study on the the Water4Life+ project, jointly launched in 2021 by World Vision, the Government of Ethiopia, and the Children's Investment Fund Foundation (CIFF). In 2022, the Conrad N. Hilton Foundation (CNHF) provided additional funding through the SAFE4HCFs project to strengthen and support sustainability of WASH services in 62 health centers. The overall goal is to transform the lives of 1.6 million people and schoolchildren in Ethiopia through improving access to safe water, sanitation facilities, and hygiene practices in healthcare facilities, schools and their communities.

Championing Stories of Change: World Vision Zambia Trains Field Staff to Document Impact
At the centre of World Vision’s work is that every child gets the opportunity to thrive and live life in all its fullness. Each child-reached and vulnerable community transformed represents a story worth documenting.
Documenting stories of change and transformation is a key element of the work field staff do to continue to inform, influence and rally support from sponsors and stakeholders in the community where we work.
For this reason, World Vision Zambia has continued building capacity among its Development Facilitators by training them to gather and write the Most Significant Stories of Change following interventions the organisation implements in communities each year.

Food parcels to support caregivers with their children’s school needs
Inflation. A word introduced to every person living in Lebanon three and a half years ago when the economic crisis affected everyone with an inflation rate that hit 123.53% in January.
As part of World Vision Global Hunger Response (GHR) project, a supplementary project for the sponsorship programme in Bent Jbeil, South of Lebanon, and within the different outputs in this project, World Vision Lebanon’s team distributed nutritional food kits in addition to hygiene kits for the Registered Children families.
