Equipping children with special needs and their parents

Wednesday, December 17, 2014

For five days, 14 children from the Imereti region in Georgia took part in different developmental activities. At the same time, 12 parents received extensive training by specialists (occupational therapists, neuropsychologists and physical therapists) on how to support children with special needs.

The goal of the camp was to establish a parents’ club in the Imereti region that would empower caregivers to be able to better support their children's rights and needs.

The camp was organized as part of the “Caucasus Sub-Regional Social Inclusion of Children with Disabilities” project.
