Goals and objectives

The “Leave no one behind - strengthening health and social systems affected by COVID-19 in Georgia” project funded by the Austrian Development Agency aims to strengthen health and child protection systems in Georgia, enabling them to cope with the secondary impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic. 

Key actions 

The project will work to ensure effective communication, health and protection measures and support are in place to steer vulnerable population groups through the pandemic and to build community resilience for a sustainable, inclusive COVID-19 recovery. This includes informing vulnerable population groups about important public health issues and vaccinations, strengthening public health services and child protection mechanisms to respond to the effects of the pandemic, and supporting long-term COVID-19 affected vulnerable populations who are living in assisted care in ways that are specific to their needs and gender-sensitive.

February 2023 to July 2024 

Project locations  
20 Municipalities in 5 regions of Georgia: in the capital Tbilisi, in Imereti, Kakheti, Samtskhe-Javakheti and Adjara.
