Six years ago Lila took organic vegetable farm training from World Vision.

Since then, she has started growing different vegetables like tomato, cauliflower, cabbage, and leafy vegetables on her land.

With the money she's saved, she is able to take care of her household expenses, children’s education and other expenses. The family has replaced their one room thatch-roof home with a much stronger and spacious three room house covered with a tin roof!

“World Vision is a blessing in my life because it changed everything. I always worried about food before, but now we have enough for meals and to sell, what more could I ask for?” shares Lila.

Sobita, her 16 year old daughter says, “If my mother was not making money I am sure I would be carrying stones or harvesting rice. Our life has changed because I am a sponsored child of World Vision.”

In 2014, WVI Nepal trained 159 farmers from different village development committies of Lamjung district in vegetable farming. After being trained, many farmers who never grew vegetables on their land before, are now successfully selling different kinds of vegetables.
