New research to analyize the economic beneift of Official Development Assistance (ODA) programming that directly or indirectly targets children found that every $1USD of child-related ODA directly or indirectly results in a $10USD return and highlights that investing in children is a way to maximise the benefit that donors see from their ODA programmes.

Lessons in Resilience: Insights from School Feeding in Burundi
World Vision World Vision Programme (WFP) Homegrown School Feeding is increasingly the foundation for school meals in Burundi and expands the reach of the programmes from emergency assistance to long-term development. Twenty-four of the schools World Vision partners employ the Homegrown School Feeding model and receive food commodities for school meals exclusively from local farmer cooperatives. Water is life! Easy access to clean and safe water protects children from waterborne diseases, eliminates the loss of education and play time spent collecting water, and contributes to their overall wellbeing.
It’s part of World Vision’s effort to ensure Afghan girls and boys enjoy this fundamental right. This effort contributes toward achieving Sustainable Development Goal #6: to ‘Ensure availability and sustainable management of water and sanitation for all by 2030.’
