ZANACO Bank’s partnership with World Vision Zambia gifts 50 bicycle to vulnerable school girls
In a touching demonstration of corporate social responsibility, Zambia National Commercial (ZANACO) Bank has donated 50 bicycles to World Vision Zambia’s Strong Girls Strong Zambia campaign with the aim of supporting vulnerable girls on their journey towards empowerment and education in Mufumbwe District.
The donation event hosted at World Vision’s Distribution Centre, marked a significant milestone in the collaboration and running partnership between the ZANACO and World Vision.
In December 2023, World Vision Zambia, in partnership with World Bicycle Relief Zambia launched a fundraiser to buy 2,000 bicycles for vulnerable girls to shorten their commute time to school. And ZANACO, during the launch committed and pledged 175,000 Kwacha towards the purchase of 50 bicycles to support the campaign.

Five schools in Kafue District receive a donation of Gifts-In-Kind school furniture
Through Gifts-In-Kind (GIK), World Vision Zambia, under the Chipapa Area Programme, has donated school furniture comprising single-seater desks, tables, and chairs to schools worth over 1.6 million Kwacha to five schools in the Kafue district.

Hope and recovery from a shattered childhood
The story below is told by Anne*, a 12-year-old refugee child from the Central African Republic who lives with her parents in Kotakoli, in the province of Nord-Ubangi, in the Democratic Republic of Congo. In her own words, she recounts how she was raped by her older sister's ex-husband when she visited him and became pregnant. Today, she has a child that struggling to bring up. Cet article met en lumière les différentes formes des violences aux quelles les enfants font face malgré leur état de vulnérabilité lié à leur statuts de refugee. It is also an opportunity to call on partners to support efforts to ensure the protection of refugee children in general.
