Price Shocks: Economic gains masking a growing hunger and malnutrition crisis
World Vision's annual price survey analyses global food prices over the past three years. This Price Shocks report is a continuation of our 2021 and 2022 studies with findings showing a slight dip in the highest costs of living for some while others remain at previously marked crisis levels. This year's findings continue to underscore the uneven recovery from the socioeconomic shocks from COVID-19, inflation, and extreme weather and indicates a disparity of food prices, both in the current cost of the basket of 10 common food items and in the year-on-year comparisons. We provide insight into the year-on-year changes and share recommendations on mitigation for various audiences.

Who will fight for refugee children’s rights, if I don’t?
World Vision has empowered 17-year-old Nancy, a South Sudanese girl living in Maaji refugee settlement in Adjumani district to advocate for fellow children’s rights. She is an unwavering girl who believes in the power of speaking up to create change in her community. She is fighting to influence and change cultural norms and beliefs that negatively affect children.

Displaced mother finds joy serving through the cash program in the war-torn regions of Ukraine
Khrystyna rebuilds her life after fleeing her war-torn town in Luhansk Oblast, dedicating herself to humanitarian work. She helps internally displaced people (IDPs) register for a cash program in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, funded by USAID’s Bureau for Humanitarian Assistance (BHA), in partnership with Acted Ukraine and the Ukraine Response Consortium. The program is run by Responsible Citizens, World Vision's local partner.
