In the words of Layla and Samir: Food insecurity in Lebanon persists
In Lebanon's Hermel District, families like Layla's and Samir's face hardships.
World Vision and the World Food Programme provide essential food parcels, helping those struggling to eat.
Layla emphasizes how crucial these parcels are for her family, as her daughter had to quit university to help financially.
Similarly, Samir and his wife are grateful for the food parcels that prevent hunger. This article reveals the ongoing food insecurity despite global abundance but also showcases the positive impact of compassionate efforts, reaching thousands of families in Lebanon and offering vital support during tough times.

Growing up in the Climate Crisis: Lebanon
This study marks the inaugural phase among a series of two consecutive research projects scheduled for release.
Exploring the impact of key climate risks on children’s well-being and rights, their preparedness for climate change disaster(s), and the views on climate change within different generations.
The research adopted a mixed method approach in terms of desk review, descriptive case studies and survey to gain an in-depth and multi-faceted exploration of climate change’s impact on children, adolescents and youth in Akkar context.

More than 12,500 children, aged 6 to 14, took part in summer camps in 100 villages of the West Bank organized by World Vision. These camps marked the one-year anniversary of the Makani clubs, the after-school clubs managed by World Vision in more than 125 villages of the West Bank. Over the year, more than 17,000 children attended these clubs monthly following their launch in the summer 2022.
