Transitional school gives hope to ambitious students
Following the 2005 earthquake the Government of Pakistan hoped to reconstruct all the affected schools within five years, however harsh weather, difficult terrain, isolated villages and the need to build seismic resistant buildings significantly slowed the reconstruction process.

L’assistance a compensé le manque à gagner pour Kadiatou
World Vision, en partenariat avec le Programme Alimentaire Mondial (PAM), a mis en place un projet d’assistance en cash et une réhabilitation des moyens d’existence dans le cercle de Bandiagara et Mopti nommé 'la nourriture pour les actifs' (Projet Food for Assets - FFA). Dans sa troisième phase, le projet a touché 718 ménages vulnérables dans quatre villages de la commune de Sio, dont celui de Kadiatou.

Bright future for farmers in Mtito Andei
For years, Mary Kyalo has been a subsistence farmer in Matengulu village in Mtito Andei, situated southeast of Nairobi. She has been planting pigeon peas, maize and beans, but often times she has experienced low yields or crop failure due to poor rainfall distribution.
