Our Approach to Change: Advocacy

We believe in the power of one voice. It has the ability to achieve the impossible, overcome inequality, challenge harmful behaviours, and call for justice for children.

We mobilise voices across the world. We amplify those voices, especially those of children. We harness these voices to call for what is right, fair and just.

We want to change the way the world works for children and create a lasting, sustainable impact. We believe all children should be valued, listened to, included and nurtured within peaceful, reconciled and equal families, communities and societies.

We work for justice for children through advocacy and global campaigns. At local, national, regional and international levels we work to change unjust policies, practices, and structures affecting the most vulnerable children. Through our current global campaign, ENOUGH, we are catalysing a global movement of people committed to ending child hunger and malnutrition.

A life of plenty for every child is possible, yet every day more children go hungry. ENOUGH of the right food and nutrition is still not reaching the children who need it. This is just not good ENOUGH. Children are speaking out against this injustice and proposing solutions – together we will answer their call.

Every child deserves the food they need to develop a healthy body and mind. Every family deserves to be able to put ENOUGH of the right food on the table.

Our Global Strategy - Our Promise

It began with the announcement of a new set of goals to end poverty, climate change and inequality by 2030 – a new set of commitments made by world governments in response to the voices of people across the world calling for change.

At World Vision, we are courageously answering this call with a commitment to relentlessly pursue our vision for every child, life in all its fullness.

Child Health Now

Our first global campaign, Child Health Now, mobilised millions to raise their voices across the globe to call for a world where no child dies before their fifth birthday. The campaign challenged governments, and it changed and created policies.

After the campaign, we continue to hold governments accountable for their promises and to ensure dirty water, poor sanitation, lack of access to health facilities, and inadequate nutrition don’t kill children.
