My sponsor always tells me to study hard

As the ball slowly rolled on the ground to Quang’s foot, he picked it up and carefully held it in his arms. It was the toy he treasured the most, a gift from his sponsor.

To the little boy Quang, a World Vision Vietnam’s registered child in Yên Bình district, Yên Bái province, each letter and present from the sponsor brings great encouragement.

“He always tells me to study hard so I can have a better life. That’s why I’m trying my best in studying in order to reach my dream. Last year, I was an excellent student in my class”, proudly said Quang.

Not only focusing on studying at school, Quang has also been actively participating in the activities of World Vision’s children club in his hometown.

He shared: “I learn useful life skills, living values and make good friends. I can see myself more confident and think positive.”

His family’s income has also become better now that his parents have started applying new way of rice cultivation introduced by World Vision. They have more time taking care of their children, especially paying greater attention to their children’s education.

“We will work hard to ensure our kids have higher education,” said Quang’s mother.

With great support from his parents and sponsor, Quang is confidently looking forward to the future: “My dream is to become a policeman to maintain peace and security in my village”.
