Solomon Islands Flood Response
Following days of heavy rain, river banks were strained and eventually broke inundating communities in Honiara and Guadalcanal Plains on 3 April 2014. Some 52,000 people were affected by the floods and 23 people lost their lives.

Since the civil war in South Sudan began in December 2013 until 31 July, 2017, Uganda received over 977,746 refugees from South Sudan. The refugees have been settled in 28 locations in 12 districts where they coexist with the host communities.
