Farewell miseries, hello prosperity
Munther*, a Syrian farmer, has endured cycles of prosperity and loss due to natural disasters and war in Syria. Lacking preventative measures to climate change and natural disasters, he reflects on the miseries he and his community had to endure. World Vision Zambia Gifts In Kind (GIK) to use innovative mobile tracking technology to manage resources
Last Mile Mobile Solution (LMMS) is a technology solution that was developed by World Vision in collaboration with the Information Technology (IT) industry in 2008. Basically, it is designed to strengthen efficiency, effectiveness, and accountability in humanitarian service delivery.
To improve the management of Gifts In Kind (GIK) resources, World Vision Zambia recently held a Last Mile Mobile Solution (LMMS) training for field office Gifts In Kind (GIK) users to effectively utilize the Item Tracking System module for GIK programming and local procurements, both for Area Programmes s and Projects.

EU-LEAN Savings for Transformation Boxes Improve Access to Financial Services, Unite Families, and Promote Environmental Sustainability in Kassena Nankana West District in the Upper East Region.
A convergence of several challenges has created complex livelihood crises in rural communities in the Kassena Nankana District in the Upper East region. This poses a challenge for smallholder farmers to navigate these crises. But thanks to the Savings for Transformation initiative implemented by World Vision Ghana under the auspices of the European Union (EU)-funded Landscape and Environmental Agility across the Nation (LEAN) Project, these farmers are able to access loans to meet their financial needs.
