Denise is a 16-year-old bright and bubbly girl who lives in the Eastern part of Rwanda. Her dream is to become famous, an inspiration, and support for the most vulnerable. This powerful sense of purpose Denise has, was stirred by a journey of healing and triumph she walked, after losing her sight.

Turning dreams into reality: Hnin's inspiring journey to success
Faced with familial responsibilities and her mother's declining health after her father's passing, 15-year-old Hnin had to drop out of school to support her family. Encountering staff from World Vision Myanmar during her work collecting bottles near a landfill, she learned about the Non-Formal Education Programme designed for children like her.

Cash assistance covers displaced family's basic needs and daughter's urgent surgery
The financial support from USAID's BHA, ACTED and Ukrainian Response Consortium allows Yulia to cover her daughter’s medical expenses. The little girl needs urgent surgery since she suffers from several chronic diseases. Her daughter, Angelina, has had gray hair from an early age due to poliosis, a condition that results from a lack of or reduction of melanin. The condition is often brought on by being exposed to stressful situations for an extended length of time.
