Edward leads the way through cocoa farming
Edward is a cocoa farmer, buyer, and supplier from Siwai in south Bougainville. He resides in Tinputs of north Bougainville where he claims is one of the best places to farm cocoa.
Edward is a lead farmer under World Visions Productive Partnership in Agriculture Project (PPAP), funded by the PNG government, World Bank, European Union, and the International Fund for Agriculture Development. Edward has supplied over 80000 cocoa seedlings to more than 4000 PPAP farmers in Bougainville in the last three years. He owns one of the biggest nurseries and plantations in North Bougainville and helps local farmers by buying their produce, and saving them the trouble of travelling to buyers. Edward is grateful for World Visions help, as he shares his knowledge with his fellow farmers and helps them get the best from their cocoa.
