World Vision Brings Water to Welcome Primary School, Improving Education and Health
For years, learners from Welcome Primary had been juggling classes and fetching water for the school, compelling the school to be an inappropriate learning environment. World Vision intervened and brought water closer to the school that currently has enrolment of 77 children.

During the past year, through providing support in food, water, health care, and education sectors, we were able to reach 1,566,577 children through our 22 long term area programs and grant funded projects.
This report covers our work and impact from October 1, 2021 to September 30, 2022.
Our appreciation goes to all who contributed in one way or another to make us reach children and communities who were in need.

Girls married off to reduce financial burden
In Bangladesh, approximately 51% of girls are married before their 18th birthday and 22% are married before the age of 15. Child marriage is more common in rural areas where 60% of girls are married before age 18, compared to 55% in urban areas. The minimum legal age for marriage in Bangladesh is 18 years for girls; however, the Child Marriage Restraint Act 2017 includes a loophole where a court can allow child marriage in ‘special cases’.

DR Congo: Access to essential household items brings relief to displaced women
This article shows how World Vision continues to assist women and households with household kits to reinforce women's hygiene measures and ensure that their dignity is guaranteed. This assistance increase the dignity and self-esteem of women. Displaced women often have limited access to basic necessities, including personal hygiene products. By providing hygiene kits, we help restore their sense of dignity and self-esteem, allowing them to maintain personal cleanliness and feel better about themselves.
