World Vision International Burundi is happy to present the Annual report for the Financial Year (FY) 2022, which covers our work and impact from October 1, 2021 to September 30, 2022.

During the past year, through providing support in food, water, health care, and education sectors, we were able to reach 1,566,577 children through our 22 long-term area programs and grant-funded projects.

In Food Security, approximately 20,000 small-scale farmers were trained and mentored in new and improved agricultural technologies while approx. 30,000 individuals were trained to apply new business and entrepreneurial skills acquired.

In the water, sanitation, hygiene and health (WASH) sector, a number of 43,054 people gained access to basic drinking water services and our programmes and projects made it possible for 48,725 children to have access to basic sanitation facilities in schools. We also note that throughout our areas of interventions, 113,085 children received health checks from health care providers trained by World Vision, to mention but a few.

We are thankful for these achievements and many more highlighted in this report. We are also thankful to sponsors of children and other donors that generously entrusted us with their resources so that we are able to help improve the lives of children and their communities.

The government provided guidance and technical support and ensured we work in a peaceful environment; we are grateful for that.

We also appreciate the dedication of staff whose work made it possible to reach children and communities with the support they needed. Their dedication is noticeable through the change our interventions are bringing in areas where World Vision International Burundi intervenes.
