World Vision assesses needs; provides support during the ceasefire

Thursday, August 14, 2014

As the ceasefire continues, World Vision staff are able to increase their response to those most affected.  Initial supports have included the distribution of food and the re-opening of Child Friendly Spaces to help some of the estimated 373,000 children who need psychosocial support to deal with the traumas they have experienced.

World Vision is also supporting private hospitals with medical supplies, medicines and 4,000 bed sheets to help them meet the overwhelming needs of the more than 10,000 people who havre been injured.
