A glimpse of hope and optimism as Uganda records zero Ebola cases in 7 days
The number of Ebola virus disease cases has not changed for a week and counting, with 141 cumulative confirmed cases and 55 confirmed deaths, including 21 children and 7 health workers, as of 20 November 2022. The total number of recoveries has increased by 10 from 69, while active contacts still under follow-up have further reduced to 703 from more than 1,000 a week ago. In addition, two districts of Kagadi and Bunyangabu have been dropped off the follow-up list after completing two incubation cycles without a new case.
