Lilian M Kamonjo
Lilian Kamonjo is the Food and Cash Programming Director for World Vision Ethiopia.
Ms. Kamonjo brings over 24 years of experience in leading large-scale humanitarian and development programs across Africa and Asia. She has served in senior leadership roles including Response Director for Northern Ethiopia, Interim Country Director for Afghanistan, and Operations Director in South Sudan. Her work has reached millions of people affected by conflict, climate shocks and food insecurity. Advancing food assistance, nutrition and community resilience initiatives that empower the most vulnerable, especially women and children.
Her current role entails:
Oversight of national food and cash assistance operations
Strategic program planning and donor engagement
Quality assurance and accountability to affected populations
Leadership and capacity development for over 800 staff
Strengthening community resilience through sustainable food systems
Ms. Kamonjo holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Central Missouri State University (USA), an OTHM Level 7 Diploma in Supply Chain and Logistics Management (UK), and diplomas in Humanitarian Services and Commodity Logistics. She is currently pursuing a Master of Public Health Management (Disaster Management) from the James Lind Institute, Geneva.
