Nina Nepesova

Global Director, Humanitarian Policy and Advocacy

Nina Nepesova oversees humanitarian policy and advocacy at World Vision.

With more than 16 years of experience in humanitarian affairs and development, Nina has worked on a range of policy issues, including humanitarian coordination, conflict response, protection, peacekeeping, humanitarian financing and fragile states governance.

Prior to taking up the role of the global director, Nina was a United Nations Representative for World Vision in New York covering humanitarian affairs. She served on the Advisory Board of Watchlist on Children and Armed Conflict, 2015-2019, providing strategic advice, guidance and support to the Watchlist team in their engagements with the UN Security Council, UN Office of the Secretary General Representative for Children and Armed Conflict, Member States and civil society.

She continues to deploy to crisis-affected countries on a regular basis to help set up response operations and has worked in Kenya, Ethiopia, Uganda, South Sudan, Mali, Iraq, Jordan and Haiti.

Nina holds a Master’s Degree in demography and international development from the London School of Economics and additional professional qualifications in international humanitarian law and policy. Read some of Nina’s work here:
