Barzil Mwawughanga is Regional Humanitarian and Emergency Affairs Director for World Vision’s East Africa Region. He has nearly two decades of experience across humanitarian response and development, with work spanning Kenya, Sudan and Mozambique. His experience includes the Cyclone Idai response, deployments in Afghanistan, and regional operations across East Africa. He is a trusted spokesperson on emergency response, resilience and humanitarian needs in the region.
