

Saving for Future: Excellence Kids Club Leads a Powerful Change in Semanhyia
In the remote village of Semanhyia, once marked by poverty and limited opportunities, a remarkable transformation is unfolding through the efforts of its children. With support from World Vision Ghana, the Excellence Kids Club, formed in 2021 as part of the Savings for Transformation programme, has empowered 64 children aged 8 to 15 to save small amounts of money weekly, fostering financial discipline, leadership, and community spirit.

World Vision Ghana is currently implementing a 5-year strategy dubbed ‘Accelerating our Commitment to the Most Vulnerable Children’ (ACCOUNT for every MVC). The FY21 – FY25 Strategy has the goal of ensuring that “By 2025, World Vision Ghana would have reached 3.3 million vulnerable children through Empowered and Resilient communities with a special focus on Most Vulnerable Children (MVC). World Vision Ghana’s main areas of focus in line with our strategy include Education, Health and Nutrition, Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH), Livelihood, Child Protection Advocacy, Faith and Development, and Disaster Risk Reduction.
As at December 2024, World Vision Ghana is implementing 18 Area Programmes (AP), in addition to Private Non-Sponsorship (PNS) and Grants funded projects in 13 out of the 16 administrative regions in Ghana.
