Brikena Zogaj
Brikena Zogaj is a passionate human rights advocate, resource mobiliser and senior technical advisor with over two decades of experience advancing child rights, protection, participation, gender equality, and inclusive education. She has worked across diverse, development, fragile and humanitarian contexts, building partnerships among governments, academia, civil society [including children, faith communities and networks], and donors to strengthen rights-based approaches and child protection systems.
As Senior Advisor for External Engagement – Global Child Protection and Participation at World Vision International, Brikena provides strategic global leadership to enhance external partnerships, advocacy influence, and evidence-based resource mobilization. Her previous roles within World Vision include Regional Advocacy and Policy Advisor, Regional Child Protection and Participation Advisor, and Integrated Program and Advocacy Director in Albania and Kosovo. Earlier, she worked with Save the Children International and the Center for Human Rights in Albania. Brikena holds a Master of Arts in Child Rights from the University of Fribourg in Switzerland, and a specialization in Public Policy from the London School of Economics.
