
James Wah-Bloh Bedell
James Bedell is Food Assistance and UN Grants Operations Director for World Vision International. He serves in WVI Disaster Management and Global Rapid Response Teams, respectively.
James leads global food assistance and UN grants operations at World Vision, ensuring efficient systems, skilled workforce, guidelines & tools, risks management and impactful program delivery across field and response offices. He oversees a technical team and fosters cross-functional collaboration to strengthen technical support; capacity strengthening and drives operational excellence and sustainable humanitarian outcomes.

James brings 20+ years’ experience in humanitarian and development work from across multiple countries, managing large commodities logistics operations in Zimbabwe and Haiti; leading food and cash project teams in Haiti, Mauritania, Democratic Republic of Congo, and Niger; and overseeing the operational management of regional food assistance portfolios in Southern Africa, West Africa and Latin America and Caribbean Regions.
Mr. Bedell has a Master of Business Administration Project Management, graduate certificate in Humanitarian Leadership, Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology.
