Mr. Rahman is a seasoned leader with 25 years’ experience in humanitarian domain across the globe. He has built an outstanding and progressive career across the UN system and various international NGOs. His professional journey spans several countries, including Bangladesh, Afghanistan, Indonesia, Yemen, Ethiopia, Somalia, and Ukraine, with 17 years of experience in overseas assignments. As humanitarian response professional, Mr. Rahman has served in numerous leadership roles throughout his career, equipping him with a diverse set of skills crucial for organisational success. His major achievements include strategic planning for humanitarian response, setting organisational direction, building strong and committed teams, ensuring operational excellence, managing multi-sectoral programs, and leading effective coordination, collaboration, partnerships, resource mobilisation, and representation efforts.

As the Response Lead of World Vision Bangladesh's Rohingya Crisis response, he holds firm to the view that this is a crisis that will require a complex, multi-layered approach underpinned by long-term financial resources, infrastructural development, and bold political will. Despite the immense efforts undertaken by the international community and governments, the futures of hundreds of thousands of Rohingya children and their families remain in the balance. He believes that innovative solutions that connect with people's real-life situations and take the voices of children into account are critical in shaping this response.

Children are very resilient, hopeful, and resourceful, and he looks forward to a world where their rights are respected, and they live life to the fullest.
