Locked Out of Care: Sustaining Emergency Health Services in the West Bank
Restrictions on movements have seriously affecting access to emergency health care services. To support communities, World Vision is supporting 20 health centers with material and training so they can provide emergency health cares to communities at the village level. Hope After the Deluge: How Luuq is Rebuilding After Somalia’s 2023 Worst Flooding in a Century
Nearly two years on, the impact of the 2023 floods still lingers. In Luuq’s largest displacement site, Jazira, over 900 households continue to seek shelter, many displaced multiple times by both climate shocks and conflict.
Even after the floodwaters receded, recovery proved painfully slow. With fuel drums costing up to US$200, many farmers couldn’t afford to restart irrigation systems, risking entire planting seasons. World Vision stepped in with emergency fuel support, helping communities resume irrigation and protect their crops.

Welcome to Our 2024 Annual Report
In 2024, World Vision Rwanda continued its commitment to improving the lives of vulnerable children and their communities. Through impactful interventions in Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH), Resilience and Livelihoods, Child Protection, and Education, we reached thousands across the country with life-changing support.
Education remained at the heart of our efforts, with more than 939,700 children benefiting from our Unlock Literacy and Learning Roots programs,gaining essential reading skills and school readiness to thrive in their learning journey.
Beyond education, we expanded our reach,bringing clean water to communities, empowering families through financial inclusion, and strengthening resilience and livelihoods. None of these achievements would be possible without the invaluable partnerships we share with the Government of Rwanda, donors, faith leaders, and the communities we serve.
