FINANCE DIRECTOR FOR PROJECT
World Vision is seeking a Finance Director for the planned project of employability to young-at risk in El Salvador. The project will provide knowledge on issues related to youth at risk and in contexts of vulnerability and conflict. World Vision seeks highly qualified and solid experienced personnel in projects funded by USAID preferably. The planned project responds to USAID / USDOL opportunity and other bilateral funds.
Responsibilities
- Financial and administrative management and supervision of the project
- Ensuring the use of resources in the project through efficient management and effective cost control mechanisms
- Implementation of a monthly financial reporting mechanism and reliable financial analysis for timely decision making
- Development of strategic, operational and budget planning processes.
- Close coordination with financial references of USDOL and office support staff at WV US and in WV El Salvador
- Preparation and approval of financial reports for donors
- Complying with child protection policies and ensure compliance with the policy throughout the duration of the project
Requirements
Master´s in Finances, Business Administration, Financial Management.
Experience in financial management of projects funded by international agencies
Professional qualification in accounting
Demonstrated knowledge in GAAP applicable to procedures established by US agencies
Work experience in international organizations, desirable
Ability to adopt new systems of financial management and use of technologies for financial management
Basic knowledge on gender and human rights approach.
Good level of oral and written English.

PROJECT DIRECTOR
World Vision is seeking a Project Director for the planned project of employability to young-at risk in El Salvador. The project will provide knowledge on issues related to youth at risk and in contexts of vulnerability and conflict. World Vision seeks highly qualified and solid experienced personnel in projects funded by USAID. The planned project responds to USAID / USDOL opportunity and other bilateral funds.
Responsibilities:
This position will be based in El Salvador and will support the achievement of strategic initiatives related to livelihoods and violence reduction for youth-at-risk. The position will supervise the development and implementation of the project, including activities related to influencing governments, donors and private sector partners to achieve the project´s goals. He/she will ensure adherence to program design and performance standards; foster learning and support business development positioning and accountability as needed. The PD position will also Liaison closely with representatives donors, NGOs, government and other local CSO for learning, technical assistance and advocacy throughout the duration of this project. He/she will:
· Ensure the efficient management of financial resources, including review and approval of budget program.
· Oversee field operations, administration, logistics and procurement
· Oversee management, delivery and monitoring of sub-grants
· Guarantee quality and timeliness of evaluation processes and reporting
· Ensure all fiduciary standards of USDOL, WV and others
Requirements:
· Master´s in Economics, Business, International Relations, Peace Studies or related field
· PhD highly preferred
· Strong knowledge on the national and regional context and on youth development and positive youth leadership in El Salvador.
· Previous experience in project management of international organizations and children and youth programs
· Extensive experience in project management of large scale by the US government funded.
· Knowledge of gender rights perspective
· Capacity for systemic thinking and program design
· Good understanding of the regional private sector and the current employment drivers.
· Good oral and written English.

YOUTH AT RISK SPECIALIST
World Vision is seeking a Specialist for a project in employability for young people at risk in El Salvador. The planned project responds to USAID / USDOL or other bilateral donors and WV requires a specialist to work a Youth Employment Project aim to Youth and Adolescent program-development focused on urban livelihoods/youth employment and community violence prevention. Interested candidates must have professional experience in Central America on youth at risk projects and contexts of vulnerability and conflict. World Vision seeks highly qualified and solid experience in projects funded by USAID.
World Vision is seeking a highly qualified professional with a solid experience in projects funded by USAID. The project is a response to the USAID/DOL´s call and other bilateral donors.
Responsibilities:
- Design, monitoring and implementation of the Project for youth development.
- Guarantee the efficient management of resources and assets, budget construction, financial report.
- Coordination of technical activities with USDOL missions in El Salvador, partners, sub-recipients, government, NGOs, local partners and other members of the civil society
- Ensure compliance with operational plans, quality of deliverables and technical reports accord to guidelines of the funding
- Supervise the project´s technical team and monitor annual work plans and as well as field activities
- Serve as a link for the coordination of other potential projects in the field, including current WV´s programs
- Work closely with other technical areas of WV
- Comply with the child protection policy and ensure compliance throughout the project
Requirements:
Master´s in Human Development, International Relations, Culture of Peace, Conflict Resolution or related field
- Solid knowledge of local problems at Community level on youth and positive leadership
- Extensive experience in managing international cooperation projects, especially USAID
- Extensive experience in the design and implementation of youth projects
- Experience in projects implemented to international organizations
- Facilitation and promotion and support initiatives aimed at young
- Knowledge of gender rights perspective
- Capacity to facilitate program design and proposal development processes.
- Good understanding of the Central American context, in particular of the northern triangle countries (Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras).
- Capacity for systemic thinking and program design
- Good understanding of the regional private sector and the current employment drivers.
- Excellent level of English.
