Justin Byworth has a career spanning over 30 years in the humanitarian aid and international development sector in the UK, Europe, Africa and Asia.  From field positions in West Africa and Asia, including several years in 1990s Cambodia, Justin has led teams across the international World Vision partnership on programmes and policy, funding and advocacy, including as CEO of World Vision UK, Director of World Vision’s Brussels/European Union office and from 2017-22 as World Vision International (WVI) Global Humanitarian Director, where he led emergency responses to disaster and conflict worldwide and World Vision’s relations with the United Nations and other humanitarian partners.  In January 2023 Justin was appointed as WVI’s Global Programmes Director leading WV’s development programmes across multiple sectors (health, water, education, livelihoods, child protection), themes (gender, environment, urban, fragile etc), and resources (grants, child sponsorship).
