Dr Kate Harrison Brennan (Australia) joined the WV Australia Board in 2022. In 2025, she joined the World Vision International Board and serves on the Partnership Governance Committee. Kate holds a combined Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Sydney. She is a Rhodes Scholar, holds an MPhil in Development Studies (International Development), and a DPhil in Politics from the University of Oxford. Kate was also a Fleet Fellow at Princeton during her doctoral studies. Previously, Kate has been Director of Global Affairs and Strategic Communications at the Australian Consulate General in New York, Advisor to an Australian Prime Minister, and CEO of a Christian ministry organisation. 

She is now Professor of Practice and Director of the Sydney Policy Lab at the University of Sydney. Kate regularly appears in the media on matters of policy and theology. Kate and her husband, Joel, have two young children. Their family worships at an Anglican Church in Sydney.
