San and more than 450 children in northern Sierra Leone exercise their power of choice
San, a physically challenged girl, joined over 450 children in Sierra Leone to choose her potential sponsor. World Vision International Sierra Leone organised a special Chosen event in Mongo and Delmayadu. It was not only about sponsorship, but also about "the joy of changing the lives of vulnerable children".

Two years on, millions of displaced Ukrainian children like Victoria, Dmytro and Leviza are still in need of continuing support as they integrate in their new living environment, as they struggle in coping from home schooling and adjust in a new reality. Life in the eyes of a Ukrainian child: “My only wish is for my father to return from war”
For almost two years, the reality of everyday life has changed too abruptly for nine-year-old Eva. While the war continues, Ukrainian children face daily interrupted lessons, air alarms, bombings, and an education that has been partially disrupted. Teach for Ukraine, World Vision’s local partner, conducted Diagnostic and Proficiency Assessments (DAPAs) that evaluated Ukrainian children’s literacy and numeracy skills individually to avoid and uncover learning gaps.
