Msgr. Dr. Lawrence Lugoloobi Ssemusu is a distinguished theologian, educator, and Catholic priest of the Kampala Archdiocese with decades of leadership and service in faith, academia, and community development.

He currently serves as the Vicar for Professionals in the Kampala Archdiocese and Catholic Chaplain at Makerere University Business School (MUBS), where he provides spiritual leadership, mentorship, and pastoral care to the academic community. He is also a respected lecturer, contributing to leadership and governance studies, with particular interest in ethical leadership and organisational performance.

Msgr. Ssemusu holds a PhD in Systematic Theology from Louvain University (Belgium), alongside advanced theological qualifications from institutions in Europe and the United States. His academic work and publications reflect a strong focus on leadership, ethics, education, and the integration of faith in development

Over the years, he has held several senior leadership roles, including Vicar General of the Kampala Archdiocese, Deputy Vice-Chancellor at Uganda Martyrs University, and a member of various academic and ecclesiastical governing bodies. He has also served on numerous boards and advisory councils in education, health, and community development, contributing strategic guidance and governance oversight.

A committed servant leader, Msgr. Ssemusu has founded impactful initiatives, including educational institutions, a charitable organisation supporting vulnerable children, and community-based financial support systems. His work reflects a deep commitment to holistic human development, ethical leadership, and faith-based transformation.
