World Vision Mozambique joins the 1st International Conference on Nutrition & Agribusiness in Nampula to showcase successful strategies against malnutrition, including school feeding and community empowerment, aiming to end child malnutrition.

Voices unlocked: In Uganda, children are turning smartphones into storytelling tools, using mobile journalism to shine a light on their communities, challenges, and opportunities and inspire change. Since its launch in 2019, World Vision Uganda’s MOJO initiative has trained youth to script, film, edit, and produce impactful stories using smartphones. This empowers them to share their lived experiences and push for change in their communities.

Private partnerships are not new to the humanitarian aid sector.  Many organisations like World Vision have been engaging with the private sector for decades to leverage corporate social responsibility practices; some very successfully, such as the ‘Moving the World’ initiative started with

Thanks to relentless community advocacy and partnership with World Vision through the CVA model, Kigando now boasts a fully functional Health Center III, bringing health care closer to thousands of residents and dramatically improving maternal and child health care outcomes.

“This garden was a dream for everyone. Now it is a reality,” said 11-year-old Danine Sleiman who lives in the neighbourhood. “Before it was just a useless area for garbage and now it is a beautiful green spot. We are now safe from the danger of cars.”

The International Conference on Malnutrition and Agrobusiness is already bearing some of the results planned namely a space for experience exchange that could replicate best practices to change the current narrative of high malnutrition rates in Mozambique.
