How Facilitating Engagements With Adolescent Girls and Young Women Positively Impacted Bongimpilo's Own Life
Bongimpilo, of Mantambe Area Programme, has been part of the “Halting The Spread Of HIV Amongst The Swazi Society” Project, which aims to transform the lives of young girls and women in underprivileged communities, since 2022. As Bongimpilo continued to work on the project, she found solace in knowing that she wasn't alone in her journey. She connected with other team members who shared similar experiences, forming a support network that helped her navigate her own challenges. Together, they shared stories, offered encouragement, and provided a safe space for vulnerability.

Draped in a dense thicket, the district perfectly camouflages a startling truth. As per a baseline survey conducted by World Vision, in 2022, stunting rates in children were reported high as 56% and 78% of the households were facing moderate and severe food insecurity in Phonexay.

Agriculture and Livelihood Capacity Statement
World Vision Timor-Leste targets the most vulnerable households in all of its livelihood, agriculture, nutrition programs. WVTL intentionally integrates livelihood and agriculture activities into nutrition-sensitive and Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) programs. WVTL has piloted a nature-based solution, known as Farmer Managed Natural Regeneration (FMNR), for farmers and communities to conserve water and protect land from soil degradation, improve soli fertility and regenerate degraded land.

Empowering Women Farmers: Inspiring hope for Sustainable Agriculture
Getari, a farmer with Kou Cooperative Society in Madang’s Usino District, transformed her cocoa block, empowering women in her community. Trained by World Vision's ANCP Climate Smart Cocoa project, she mastered climate-smart farming, boosting her cocoa's health and productivity. Sharing her knowledge, she mentored other women, fostering community bonds.
