The value of clean water for Afghan children
In Afghanistan, 30 out of 34 provinces reported extremely low water quality. And the number of households impacted by the drought in 2022 is six times greater than in 2020 since the country enters its third consecutive drought year.
Through its WASH interventions, Word Vision Afghanistan is providing access to clean water to the most vulnerable children, their families and their communities. Over 207,911 people, including 122,874 children, accessed clean drinking water and received hygiene promotion services in World Vision targeted areas between October 2021 to September 2022 (FY22).

Davis and Shirtliff donate chlorine granules to improve access to clean and safe water in refugee settlements
Davis & Shirtliff Zambia has continued to partner with and support World Vision by donating 3000 sachets of granulated chlorine valued at K7,000 to refugee settlements where access to clean water remains a challenge.
Speaking during the donation ceremony, Davis and Shirtliff Sales Manager Jessy Daka said the donation of the water sachets was a gesture to help World Vision deliver clean and safe water to different communities of the country.

In Mporokoso district of Northern Province, Chitwe Primary School has become an example of the critical need for access to clean and safe water, especially for children. Established in 1984, this educational institution, with an enrollment of 308 pupils, including 142 boys and 167 girls, has never had a consistent running water supply.
