Safe drinking water is critical to human health and development. In rural sub-Saharan Africa, most improved water sources are boreholes with handpumps; studies suggest that up to one third of these handpumps are nonfunctional at any given time.

Le projet d’un an de Renforcement de la Résilience des Communautés les plus Vulnérables à la Malnutrition et à l’Insécurité Alimentaire est mis en œuvre dans six communes mauritaniennes de la Moughataa de Kiffa dans la wilaya d’Assaba. Cette visite a permis à Mme Marie Pierrer Poirier d’échanger avec les bénéficiaires du projet, ainsi qu’avec les autorités administratives et l’équipe technique en charge de la mise en œuvre et du suivi.
