World Vision recognised at the 2021 HR Focus Awards in Ghana
It was a great pleasure that, in addition to winning the “Best HR Management in the NGO Sector” award for the second time running at this year’s awards, the office also won the “Most Outstanding Non-Profit Organization Response to COVID-19” award. World Vision was additionally recognised as a finalist in the category of “Best Organisation in HR Information Systems”.

World Vision Zambia Gifts In Kind (GIK) to use innovative mobile tracking technology to manage resources
Last Mile Mobile Solution (LMMS) is a technology solution that was developed by World Vision in collaboration with the Information Technology (IT) industry in 2008. Basically, it is designed to strengthen efficiency, effectiveness, and accountability in humanitarian service delivery.
To improve the management of Gifts In Kind (GIK) resources, World Vision Zambia recently held a Last Mile Mobile Solution (LMMS) training for field office Gifts In Kind (GIK) users to effectively utilize the Item Tracking System module for GIK programming and local procurements, both for Area Programmes s and Projects.

World Vision and Lake Grove Church support Makonkoto Primary School
World Vision and the Lake Groove Church also supported Makonkoto Primary School with laptops and a generator for the computer lab, which teaches all the learners from grades 1 to 7 basic computer skills. The teachers also received various pieces of training such as literacy boost and wash-up and provided them with learning materials.
