Climate change, violence, and hunger are trapping vulnerable children in poverty. This report explores their intersection and the urgent need for action.

Empowered Worldview has led to statistically significant improvements in measures of hope, self-efficacy and self-reliance. It has also led to statistically significant improvements in rates of child well-being as measured by stunting. Empowered Worldview is likely to have a significant multiplier effect on child well-being as measured by stunting. The impact of EWV is greater in households where other indicators, addressed by other World Vision programs, are more positive. Factors that increase the positive impact of EWV on child well-being include the availability of food, access to health services, mothers’ own health and good child feeding practices.

On 25 March 2025, WVI Nepal celebrated and shared our Fiscal Year 2024 achievements in presence of children, government representatives, media, our donors and peer organisations. In addition, we launched two major research reports on 'Online Safety among Children' and 'Knowledge, Attitude and Practices on Substance use among adolescents'.

A tailored set of solutions is selected by each community including scaling-up indigenous restoration practices, strengthening government partnerships for restoration, and introducing proven practices like Farmer Managed Natural Regeneration (FMNR).

This report aims to highlight three crucial initiatives by World Vision Angola to contribute to addressing these food and health emergencies in the country. The actions focus especially on mitigating the impacts of drought and improving maternal and child health, aiming to alleviate food insecurity, combat malnutrition, and reduce maternal and child mortality in these highly affected communities, which have been prioritized for the implementation of these interventions.
