EXTERNAL ENGAGEMENT MANAGER, Health and nutrition

Elizabeth Margolis is an experienced food security professional with expertise in policy and advocacy, humanitarian food security, school meals, gender transformation and project management. 

With World Vision, Liz has managed school meal programmes and humanitarian responses in Angola and Burundi, led advocacy for the organisation's Global Hunger Response, and advised on policy for humanitarian food security. Prior to this, she worked with the United Nations World Food Programme on cash transfers, policy, and data analysis, and held positions with several US-based NGOs.

Fluent in French, Spanish, and Portuguese, Liz brings a global perspective and strong cross-cultural communication skills to her work. 

Liz holds a Master’s Degree in Social Development (with Distinction) from the University of Sussex, UK, and a Bachelor's degree in Public Policy and Ethics from Templeton Honors College at Eastern University, and is a Certified Development Project Management (CDPM). Liz was also awarded the International Mickey Leland Hunger Fellowship (20212023) by the US Congressional Hunger Center. 

She is based in Colorado, USA and lives primarily in Taiwan with her spouse.
