Capacity Statement: Zambia Reading for Education and Development 2024
World Vision Zambia Education department has been implementing the ZREAD (Zambia Reading for Education and
Development) Technical Programme in 23 areas of operation in 20 districts across 8 provinces since October 2016. The Goal of the programme is to contribute towards “Improved numeracy and literacy for 140,000 girls and boys in grades 1-4 by 2025.”

Citizen Voice and Action (CVA) is a local advocacy approach that World Vision uses to increase dialogue between ordinary citizens and organizations that provide services to the public. It aims to improve accountability from the administrative and political sections of government (both national and local) in order to improve the delivery and quality of public services. The approach aims to empower communities to realize the potential within to influence the quality, efficiency and accountability of public services.

A single father's fight for his sons' access to education amidst Ukraine’s war
Hennadiy evacuates his sons, Mykola and Andriy from Kherson, seeking safety from the chaos of the war. Mykola’s autism added to their challenges, but they found hope at a World Vision-supported day center in Irpin, where specialized care and education support their recovery. With 5.3 million children requiring immediate educational support, disrupted classes, hybrid learning approaches, and safety concerns, it is increasingly difficult for children like Mykola to thrive.

Savings Group: Persia's Life-Changing Opportunity
"My life would not be as it is now if not for the savings group and the many trainings I received from World Vision," says Persia.
For years, 56-year-old Persia of Kanchomba village in the Southern Province of Zambia faced daily struggles to provide for her family. Together with her husband Olaf, 64, their main source of income came from the small amount of maize they grew on their piece of land, which was used for home consumption and partly for sale.

Child Protection: Overview of World Vision Programmes 2024

Healing and thriving: Thousands of children take part in World Vision's Summer Camps
Over the summer, Wolrd Vision organized 73 summer camps attended by 9,400 children in the whole West Bank. The camps allowed them to have fun in safe places, forget their worries and enjoy moment of innocence. they also received mental health and psychosocial support to help them deal with stress, anxiety and trauma in these difficult times.
