UNITED NATIONS REPRESENTATIVE FOR WORLD VISION INTERNATIONAL IN GENEVA

Anne-Marie Vuignier is the United Nations (UN) Representative for World Vision International in Geneva, where she leads the organisation’s strategic engagement with United Nations agencies and related bodies on human rights and sustainable development issues. With over ten years of experience promoting human rights and child rights at the UN and European Union levels, she is a passionate advocate for child protection, justice, and the inclusion of community voices in global policymaking.

Since joining World Vision in February 2020, Anne-Marie has focused on shaping international frameworks to more effectively protect children’s rights, with a particular emphasis on preventing violence, ensuring access to health and nutrition, and addressing the effects of poverty and conflict on child well-being. Her advocacy draws on both institutional expertise and grassroots perspectives, ensuring that the voices of the most vulnerable especially children reach the highest levels of decision-making in Geneva. 

Anne-Marie holds a European Master’s Degree in Human Rights and Democratisation from the Global Campus of Human Rights (Venice) including a semester at the University of Essex, and a Licence in International Relations from the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies (IUHEI) in Geneva.
