2016 Earth Hour Campaign in Hai Phong City

Responding to the 2016 Earth Hour Campaign that took place in 178 countries around the world, World Vision’s HRCD project in coordination with Hai Phong city’s Department of Foreign Affairs and Youth Union organized an art event on 19 March, 2016 in the city.

With the theme “Small actions, big impacts”, the event focused on changing local people’s attitude towards protecting environment and calling upon them to take action.

Following the core messages, a series of activities such as music and dance performances attracted hundreds of local youngsters to attend with candles in their hands.

At the end of the event, all participants blew out the candles, turned off all lighting equipment and stayed in the dark for 30 minutes, expressing their commitment and determination to saving electricity and protecting environment.
