Dr Monica B. Chibita (Uganda) has been a member of the World Vision Uganda Board since 2011. In 2016, she was elected to World Vision International's board. She holds a BA in Education from Makerere University, a MB in Journalism from the University of Iowa and A D. Litt. et Phil. (Communication) from the University of South Africa. She has experience as University Professor, Lecturer and Teacher. She also participates in several boards and is member of the editorial boards of several academic journals in the field of Journalism, Media Studies and Communication: Member, Broadcasting Council (Statutory regulator for the broadcast sector in Uganda), Panel Member, Africa Media Barometer (Uganda), Member, Board of Directors, New Vision Printing and Publishing Corporation, Board Chair, African Centre for Media Excellence, Honorary member, FEMRITE President, East Africa Communication Association, to mention a few. Monica has also done some publishing in books and academic journals and research. She is married and attends the Kampala Baptist Church.
