Kerin Ord

Education Sector Lead

Kerin provides global leadership to ensure that our education programmes make the greatest positive impact in the lives of children. Our aspiration is that each child attains the skills and abilities they need to live a productive and fulfilling life.

As Global Sector Lead for Education, Kerin is responsible for setting the direction for the Education Sector across World Vision’s programming. She oversees World Vision’s education programming to ensure that it reflects the organizational distinctive of Christ-centered, community empowering and child focused in its standards and practices and the highest technical standards are met.

Kerin has held this position since 2017, and from 2013 -2017 lead the Strategy, Learning and Research Team for World Vision’s Education and Life Skills Team.  Before this, Kerin was Head of International Programmes for World Vision Australia.  Prior to joining World Vision, Kerin worked with the Bank of America, the Australian Conservation Foundation and Australian Volunteers International.  Kerin also worked for UNDP in Vietnam, and for the Secretariat of the Pacific Community based in Fiji.

Kerin holds a Masters of Social Science (International Development) from the Royal Melbourne Institution of Technology, and a Bachelor of Arts from The University of Melbourne.
