Ms. María Luisa de Landecho (Spain) has served on the Board of Directors of World Vision Spain since September 2022, where she chairs the Audit and Risk Committee. She joined the World Vision International Board in 2025 and is a member of the Audit and Risk Committee.
She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration (ICADE-Universidad Pontificia Comillas) and has completed executive programs at IESE Business School and MIT Sloan School of Management. She brings extensive experience in finance, strategy, and organisational transformation across multinational environments, with a solid background in both education and the professional services sectors. Currently, she works as a consultant supporting strategic projects in education, applying her expertise to strengthen institutional capabilities and drive sustainable growth. She is strongly committed to education and social impact, and is guided by values such as integrity, collaboration, and purpose-driven leadership. María Luisa is Catholic, married and has two daughters. Outside of her professional life, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, as well as travelling and exploring new cultures.
