Sr Advisor, Humanitarian Policy and External Engagement

Viviana De Annuntiis is Sr Advisor, Humanitarian Policy and External Engagement for World Vision International.  

Ms. De Annuntiis is responsible for managing WFP and FAO relationship, ensuring the regular, high-quality, and positive external engagement with UN Rome-based organisations, including global campaigns and resource mobilization. She leads policy development and advocacy in areas related to food security, conflict and hunger and famine prevention. In terms of regional portfolio, she ensures strategic alignment and represents World Vision’s work in Africa, providing regular support to humanitarian field operations in areas of policy expertise.

Ms. De Annuntiis brings more than 15 years of experience leading humanitarian inter-agency processes, establish and maintain collaborative partnerships with governments, diplomatic entities and other stakeholders (civil society, private sector, armed forces). She has worked for different government and humanitarian organizations, including WFP and UN OCHA, engaging in large-scale emergency preparedness and response in both complex emergencies and climate-related events (Asia-Pacific, Middle East, Latin America and Caribbean).  

Ms. De Annuntiis holds a Master’s degree in Geopolitics and Global Security from the University of La Sapienza (Rome, Italy), as well as a Master in Gestalt Counseling from ASPIC. She is Adjunct Faculty Professor at the American University of Rome and the John Cabot University.
