Journey of Voices - an art exhibition
To commemorate International Migrants Day (18 December), the Saphan Siang campaign, supported by World Vision and ILO, will host an art exhibition... the solo exhibition will highlight migrant workers’ experiences living and working in Thailand’s fishing communities through an immersive, interactive art exhibition including the installation of a life-size sculptural fishing boat, photography exhibit, 16 channel video installation, and a large scale 3D infographic display. Phyu was 17 when she left school and decided to leave her home in Mandalay, Myanmar. She wanted to contribute to the family’s income after her father became too ill to work. A broker persuaded Phyu to work in China. She was told that she could get a good job as a sales girl or as an accountant.
