Clean Water for People in the Hamlet Landau

Difficult access to clean water in Landau sub village in Pantok village, West Kalimantan has caused many people, especially children, to suffer from chronic illness.
Concerned about the need for clean water, Wahana Visi Indonesia worked with community members to construct a clean water pipeline and build toilets in every home in Landau. A total of 58 families and 623 people in Landau enjoy the benefits of the initiative.
Rufinus, the second man in Sekadau district, and several other local leaders attended the celebration of the “Sub Village Stops Defecating Everywhere” project.
Rufinus says that the water pipeline project provides clean water easily, even during the rainy season. He reminds people to use the toilets in their homes and stop defecating everywhere.
